Visit reasons are all the conditions, services or procedures that you can receive bookings for on Zocdoc. Patients often search and find providers by visit reason, so keeping them accurate and up-to-date ensures you show up in the most relevant search results. You can make changes to your visit reason settings for providers who currently have a Zocdoc profile, at any time.
Where do I go to update visit reasons for my providers on Zocdoc?
Once you’ve signed into your practice’s account, select the Providers tab and then the Provider Name you want to update.

Finally, select Visit Reasons:

You are now on the visit reason settings page for the selected provider.
Tip: Each provider has their own visit reason settings page. Be sure to keep visit reasons updated for every provider in your practice.
On the visit reason settings page, you can select the visit reasons you want to accept. To filter for a specific visit reason, use the search bar at the top of the list.
You may have noticed that there is no option to remove the first visit reason on the list. This is the top booked visit reason for your specialty and has been pre-selected to ensure you are not missing out on common patient searches.
For each selected visit reason, use the “Edit” button on the right to adjust preferences for the types of appointments you accept, including: in-person and/or video visits, new and/or existing patients. You can also adjust visit lengths to your preferences for each type of appointment.
Once you’re done making updates, select Save at the bottom of the page. Our system will automatically add all updated visit reason settings to your profile.
